Solar Panels & Accessories
Victron – Solar panels on their own are no good without a way to convert that energy into useful energy. Victron is the leader in off grid electronics and their solar charge controllers are no exception! In addition to their Solar Charge Controllers Victron has a full line of products from their shunts to measure your battery levels to inverter/chargers like the MultiPlus II that allows you to power all your 120v items like TVs and Starlink off grid. With Victron powering the RV off grid doesn’t mean you need to give up the comforts of home.
Fan Upgrades
Vent Fan Upgrades – Did your bathroom come with a dinky little vent fan? Or worse have a room with a vent but no fan at all? Maybe you are tired of the manual opening and want an automated one or one with a remote control. These are the most common upgrades we do! With MaxxAir’s full line of fans we can get you upgraded. With their 12″ fans you’ll get a nice breeze in the RV whether its for cooling down on a hot day or getting the humidity out of the bathroom after a shower. Best part is when the wiring is in place, and it usually is, we don’t charge any labor for these upgrades!
AC Upgrades
MicroAir – So you’ve spent the money on a large solar setup or a decent generator but it can’t handle running your biggest energy hog, the air conditioner. MicroAir’s line of AC soft starts can help by reducing the start-up amperage of an AC by over 60%! This can allow you to run an AC off an inverter or a smaller generator than normally needed. Another big advantage is for units with 2 ACs and 50amp service you wouldn’t be limited to finding campgrounds with 50A service and can run both ACs off 30A service opening the door to more adventures. MicroAir also has an amazing WiFi thermostat allowing you to monitor and control your AC and heat remotely.
RV Airflow Systems – In addition to being energy hogs RV AC systems are not great at moving that air into the ducting to cool the rig and a lot of that cold air is wasted. RV Airflow has solved the issue of inefficiency by forcing that air into the ducting so it doesn’t blow around the plenum under the unit. Not only does this cool your RV faster by moving up to 40% more air through the ducting it helps reduce noise as well since the air is moving efficiently. This is so effective Grand Design has made it standard on the main ACs for most newer units.
Battery Upgrades
Enduro Batteries – You have the solar panels to power your adventure but that doesn’t do you any good without great lithium batteries to store that energy generated by the panels. Enduro Power is headquartered locally in Castle Rock and provides amazing batteries and customer service. Not only are lithium batteries lighter than traditional lead acid batteries they can be fully discharged without harm to the battery unlike lead acid batteries that can be permanently damaged if drained under 50%. This gives you more usable power to stay off grid longer! Lithium batteries also charge faster and last over 3 times longer with their 10 year warranty.
